Frequently Asked Questions

How do you best describe your style?

With her knowledge of light and composition combined with her natural ability to capture the moment, Christine’s style of contemporary wedding photography is spontaneous and unique. Her natural, relaxed style of shooting captures a collection of images portraying the fun, love, beauty and emotions that make each wedding different.

Do you work with an assistant?

Christine is the sole photographer and prefers to work alone. In her experience guests become more aware that they are being photographed if there is more than one photographer around which can make them feel quite uncomfortable. This can be detrimental to the photographs.

Do you take formal group photographs?

Yes. Although Christine photographs in a natural, relaxed style for much of the day, she appreciates a small number of formal family photographs will be required. In order to keep the disruption to a minimum, she recommends approximately 6-8 groups, which should take no longer than 10-15 minutes. However, if you require extra shots Christine is happy to oblige – after all, it is your wedding!

How many photographs do you take?

To capture the true atmosphere and spirit of the day, Christine takes an unlimited number of photographs. An average wedding coverage will result in approximately 250-350 edited images depending on the photo opportunities that arise.

Do you travel?

Christine is happy to travel throughout East and West Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Kent. A mileage charge of 40p per mile is made for all weddings taking place more than 30 miles from Pulborough, West Sussex.

Are you fully insured?

Yes, Christine carries full public liability and professional indemnity insurance cover.

Do we meet together before the wedding day to discuss details?

Yes, 3-4 weeks prior to the wedding Christine always likes to meet the bride and groom to discuss through the final timings, required family group photos and any specific requirements you may have for your wedding.

Do you visit the wedding locations before the day?

If Christine is not familiar with a particular venue she will always visit the venue before the day of the wedding. Very often this visit can be linked with the pre-wedding meeting with the bride and groom.

How quickly will we be able to view our photographs?

All the edited images taken on your wedding day will be uploaded into a password protected online viewing gallery on our website within 5 working days from the date of your wedding. You and your guests will then be able to view the images at your own convenience. There is also a secure online ordering facility in place for guests to purchase reprints.

Will our wedding album contain both colour and black and white photographs?

Yes, most clients wedding albums contain a mix of both colour and black and white in a ratio of approximately 60% colour to 40% black and white. This ratio can be varied according to individual client taste.

What deposit is required in order to book you as our wedding photographer and when do we pay the balance?

At the time of booking, a fee of £500 is required as a deposit to secure the day along with a completed booking form. The balance for your chosen wedding photography package is due 30 days prior to your wedding date. Payment can be made by credit card or cheque.
